This job requires coordination of the restoration project from start to finish. You will meet with the customer, review necessary repairs, and create an estimate through Xactimate. Once an approved estimate has been established, you will supervise and run each individual project with focus on sub-contractor management, adhering to a set schedule, and customer service. Great communication skills are a must. High quality construction and customer service is our hallmark. Job Requirements & Skills of the Restoration Project Manager include: Prefer 3 years previous experience as a Project Manager in the restoration industry. General knowledge of industry and/or product channel, or the ability to quickly learn. Must have knowledge of both residential and commercial reconstruction and the ability to manage reconstruction projects. Must have a solid knowledge of Xactimate software for estimating restoration projects. Strong communication and negotiation skills are key as well as Excellent problem-solving skills. Each property loss is unique. Ability to negotiate restoration services and insurance claims settlements. Planning, organizing, and managing crews and subcontractors. Participating in design, process, and permit submission. Must be self-disciplined, self-motivated, organized, responsible, and accountable. Able and willing to respond to property damage emergency calls as they occur. Complete expense reports, attend company meetings and/or sponsored training. Job site inspection, determine scope of the work to be performed. Remove and dispose of non-salvageable items. Set up equipment per IICRC standards and/or moisture mapping software. Prepare documentation pertaining to the loss: pictures, sketching, daily reports, contracts. Document work in project management, estimating, and moisture mapping software programs. Communicate with management to report project status, updates, issues or concerns. Restoration Mitigation Technician qualifications: Water mitigation experience preferred. IICRC, WRT and/or ASD and FSRT certifications a plus. General construction, carpentry and repair experience helpful. Able to perform manual labor with no restrictions, which may include but will not be limited to lifting, carrying, climbing, crawling, repetitive motion. Able to work in non-climate-controlled environments, occasionally in moderate heat. Proficient computer skills; ability to confidently learn and utilize various software programs. Interfaces with clients and insurance representatives throughout the estimating phase. Restoration Estimator handles full negotiation of project through to estimate approval by insurance carrier or client. Schedules and executes regular onsite meetings with client and Project Manager Prepare construction contract and coordinate contract ratification. Restoration Estimator assists Project Management team in producing change orders and supplements. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 2+ years of construction estimating experience Restoration industry experience preferred Basic math skills (equivalent to those needed at a GED level) Regularly required to climb roofs, crawl into confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, which includes being able to carry a 28’ ladder from their truck and setting it up at the roof line of the associated property Excellent customer service and communication skills using English language Great attitude, trustworthy, dependable, and a pleasant personality Able to pass a background check, driving record check, and regular employee drug screenings Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of industry-related software including the Xactimate and Symbility suites, be able to “touch type,” and be familiar with software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
